Hey Carlos - great work! Kthiemann 02:40, 12 November 2007 (EST)

An SAP veteran from USA rang me up to say that what this Log Migration does opens up alot of good stuff not only for migrating their instances but can be explored to also export on their accounts in the case of M & A (Mergers and Aquisitions) which is a big thing in the US. - Red1 09:57, 12 November 2007 (EST)

  • I did this before and it worked after some tricks. Now i forgot what they are.
  • I did check the Log Migration Script, but could not find any 'migration_script' recently created in my MacBook after making a change in the Table&Column window Callout field and saving it. What did i miss? - red1 19:16, 14 August 2009 (PDT)
Migration scripts are written in temp folder - specific location depends on the operating system, for Ubuntu is /tmp, I don't know for Mac. CarlosRuiz_globalqss 09:34, 15 August 2009 (PDT)
Redhuan, saw in IRC you're still struggling to find the migration scripts - in Ubuntu there are a pair of commands (I guess they are present also in MacOS) very useful to find "lost" files, this is updatedb (to create a db with filenames) and locate (to find the files) - for example you execute 'updatedb' and then you execute 'locate migration_script' and that must show you where are those files.
