Integration with funambol

Introduction

This would open up the functional possibility of accessing ERP/CRM information directly on mobile phones. It is an essential requirement in the days of the crackberry addiction and FUNAMBOL connector is the ideal way of achieving such an integration.

Functions

• E-mail and ERP messages pushed to users
• Tasks and calendar items synchronisation to mobile phones
• Individual contact/client lists synchronised
• Project / product based documents synchronised (Funambol already offers such a facility in conjunction with Alfresco ECM)
• Workflow tasks / approvals.
• Mobile Point of Sales???

Approach

The easiest approach to take would be to integrate with Zimbra server and expose the functions for synchronisation via the Zimbra collaboration server.
