Why a conference?
After two successful months of work we planned a conference so everyone involved in the project could meet and know each other.

Brazilian Tropicalization
Kenos is donating a lot of work for the first version of Adempiere LBR, and we're now on the process of integration between Kenos and Faire Consultoria Adempiere LBR versions, to unify the project. The project, as it's in it's first release is fully working, with all the customizations needed to work in Brazil.
Future and Governation of the Project
The Project shall be ruled as the Adempiere project, but will have it's own SourceForge repository. Committers will be added based on their contributions. The idea behind this approach is based on what we have done so far. The entire development is "non-intrusive", meaning that you can easily maintain the LBR package, easily migrate ADempiere versions and even apply the package to your current installation. We must emphasize that applying the LBR package to you current ADempiere or Compiere installation will require a few adjustments, but it can be done with a little effort.
Common Specification Documents
There'll be a custom specification document to develop to the Brazilian localization project. Everyone that wants to develop any customizations for the project will have to use this document and open a new tracker on the project. Every new customization needs to have well written documentation and functional specifications.
Development Guides
We defined that all the new tables used in Adempiere LBR project will contain the LBR_ prefix, and shall be created as User Defined. Also, all the new tables columns must have their naming in english, unless it's something that can't be translated, like Nota Fiscal (Shouldn't be translated, even SAP doesn't do it.). All the new columns added to default tables must have the LBR_ prefix, and these columns must be created as User Defined. The numbering scheme for Adempiere LBR is, 1000000 id's and above will be used for LBR customization, and the user specific customization will have id's above 2000000.
Translation Management
The pt_BR translation is tied to Hilário Fochi, everyone that shall want to to help on the translation should get in contact with him.
Distribution of the Project
The initial form of distribution that was discussed was to use 2pack for that job. But as there are some bugs in 2pack integration as of yet, we'll be using the customization.jar for compiled classes and sql scripts for db migration
